Non-Executive Directors

Paul Boynton: Non-Executive Director (BComm, BSc (Hons), CA(SA), FCMA, CGMA, MBA)
Paul served articles with Deloitte Haskins and Sells before working for Investec in corporate finance. He joined Old Mutual as the portfolio manager of the Old Mutual Life Funds and then as Head of Investment Views, formulating the investment house view and model portfolio for Old Mutual Asset Managers. In 2004 he was appointed Head of Alternative Investments Boutique which is responsible for the group’s investments in infrastructure, private equity, social impact investment and mezzanine debt. He chairs the Boutique’s Investment Committee and serves on various boards.

David Samuels: Non-Executive Director (CA(SA))
David is a non-executive director of Invicta Holdings Limited and currently chairs the Audit Committee. From 1989 to 2000 he was managing director of Stenham (Pty) Limited. David joined Trade and Industry Acceptance Corporation Limited in 1971 and was appointed director from 1980 to 1984.

Lance David Katz: Non-Executive Director (FFA (Scot), MBA (INSEAD))
Lance Katz is a non-executive director of Saldanha Group Holdings. He is a founding shareholder of Thesele Group, a private investment firm with stakes in Prudential Portfolio Managers and Acucap Properties Limited. Lance was formerly Managing Director of Old Mutual Specialised Finance and was a founding director of African Harvest Capital. Lance currently holds the position of Managing Director of SACAP (South African College of Applied Psychology).

David Woollam: Non-Executive Director
David has over 20 years’ experience in both South Africa and the United Kingdom in the financial services industry. After qualifying as a chartered accountant, David spent 10 years working in the investment banking and derivatives industry in London. In 1999, he returned to South Africa to join BoE Bank as CFO and in 2001 was appointed to the position of executive director of BoE Limited. In 2002 David joined African Bank as group finance director and in 2008 was appointed as CEO of African Bank Limited. He now operates as an independent consultant, director of companies and private equity investor.
