Promotion Terms and Conditions:
1. The Promoter is 10X Investments (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”).
2. This promotion is open to all South African Residents who are in possession of a valid identity document as well as foreign nationals who can present their passport.
3. The promotion consists of:
a) For all new applications (new and existing clients) for a 10X promotional product in January 2018: 10 fee-free months; and
b) For existing clients: an automatic entry into a lucky draw where they stand a chance to win 10 fee-free months.
4. Any participant under the age of 18 years must be fully assisted by his/her legal guardian, who approves of, and consents to, the participant’s possession/receipt of the promotional offering.
5. This promotion is open from 1 January 2018 and ends at midnight on 31 January 2018 (“the closing date”). Any applications received after the closing date will not be considered for the promotion.
6. To qualify for the promotion:
6.1 10 fee-free months for new applications (new and existing clients):
• Participants must submit a completed application for a 10X Investments product that is on promotion during the month of January 2018.
• All new applicants who apply for a 10X Investments promotional product during January 2018 will pay no 10X fees from 1 Jan 2018 – 30 November 2018 (for a list of 10X fees, please go to www.10x.co.za).
• All new applicants (regardless of when their first transaction is received) will start paying fees on 1 December 2018, as per usual fee structures for 10X Investments products. Note that 10X cannot control how long a transfer from another fund provider will take and this might reduce the number of fee-free months that the participant will qualify for as the last fee-free month is November 2018.
• This offer is available to new applicants taking out a 10X Investments promotional product via a 10X Retirement consultant or via the 10X online application platform (invest.10x.co.za).
• The offer is also open to existing corporate fund members and retail 10X clients. However, it will only apply if an existing client applies for a new 10X product during January 2018. (The fee-free offer does not apply to 10X clients’ existing investment funds). The new product must be different to the client’s existing product. For example: a client with an existing retirement annuity cannot take out an additional retirement annuity product. This client can, however, take out a 10X preservation fund product or a living annuity product and benefit from the promotion.
6.2 The lucky draw (existing clients)
• The Promoter will be rewarding 10 existing 10X clients with the prize of 10 fee-free months.
• All existing clients are automatically entered into the lucky draw.
• The 10 winners will be randomly drawn. All 10X retail and corporate clients (excluding 10X staff) will qualify - regardless of when they joined 10X and regardless of their existing 10X product or asset value.
• The 10 fee-free months will be from 1 Feb 2018 – 30 November 2018. The existing client will resume paying fees from 1 December 2018.
7. The following 10X investment products qualify for the promotion:
- 10X Retirement Annuity
- 10X Living Annuity – no 10X fee will be charged for the duration of the promotional period. However, a 0.075% fee will be charged by the life insurer.
- 10X Pension Preservation
- 10X Provident Preservation
8. The promotion is only open to individual retail product applications. 10X institutional (corporate) products and Group Retirement Annuity applications do not apply.
9. The specifications of the promotion, including but not limited to duration and value, are at the discretion of the Promoter and are not negotiable.
10. The Promoters reserve the right to alter or cancel the promotion at their own discretion. In the event of such cancellation or alteration, all participants and the winners shall waive and abandon any rights they may have against the Promoter, its affiliates or associated companies.
11. The Promoter may refuse to award any prize or fee reduction if any information or any irregularities or fraudulent activities are detected.
12. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. Participation in the promotion constitutes acceptance of the promotion’s Terms and Conditions.
14. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any application if fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of withdrawing from the 10X fund to re-apply for the same fund to benefit from the fee-free promotion. If it is found that a 10X client withdraws from a 10X product in order to gain from the fee-free promotion, 10X reserves the right to withhold the client’s 10X fund withdrawal until investigation is complete.
16. Responsibility is not accepted for applications lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
17. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Promoter is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
18. Prizes are not transferrable or negotiable.
19. Neither the Promoter, its agents, its associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by a participant.
20. Employees at 10X Investments, partner agencies/affiliated companies and members of their immediate family are allowed to participate in the fee-free promotion by taking out an individual 10X retail promotional product during January 2018. Employees at 10X Investments, who are existing clients, will not qualify for the lucky draw.
21. Beware of bogus callers & SMS notifications that say you've won with 10X Investments. Here's how you can check for bogus notifications:
22. Unless pre-arranged with you, 10X Investments representatives will NEVER come to your office or home to say you're a winner or to deliver a prize.
23. If in ANY doubt, ask the caller for their name and the 10X Investments switchboard number and phone the caller back. Any number other than 021 412 1010 means the caller is trying to trick you.
24. If you are concerned that a bogus caller has contacted you, please store the number of the caller (if you have caller ID) and email it to the Webmaster.
